Thotupola mountain of Sri Lanka
Totupala mountain is Third highest summit of Sri Lanka. Totupala mountain is high 2357m above sea level. This mountain is situated on the part of Horton plains. Travel to Totupala is very different because there are no ways to travel. Some times can be travel via foot path from Horton Plains and Pattipola road. Those foot paths are made by traveling animals.
In Totupala mountain area can be seen various type of plants, animals and birds and endemic varieties also. Lot of (out of 26) birds are endemic to Sri Lanka can be seen in there. Another meaning of Totupala is Bird Paradise. Most tourist use this mountain for see birds. Not only endemic birds but also foreign birds also we can be seen in some periods of year in this place. In evening can be seen large amount deer in this place. And also Tiger and other some animals, Binara and Marathmal type of endemic flowers, Horn leopard type of endemic beings we can see these.
However top of the Totupala mountain is very cool and very beautiful.

Rahangala Mountain is somewhat different shape of mountain of Boralanda Sri Lanka. Rahangala mountain is situated at near Boralanda town and near the Horton plains, Totupala mountain,Kirigalpottha mountain road. Travel to Rahangala mountain is very easy than others. Because this mountain hasn't long forest. It only included aspiring, grass and plain area. Top side of mountain eucalyptus trees are grown.
When you travel along the Ohiya road from Boralanda first you can see high rock. It's Rahangala mountain. Climbed the high rock is difficult and not suitable. There fore travelers enter to climb another place. This mountain is very long. Railway is going along this mountain and through in the mountain by tunnels. This mountain is long more than 20km.
You can see every kinds of eucalyptus trees and lot of water ways. Most waterways which started from Horton plains and come to Rahangala mountain and it goes along the mountain.
Rahangala mountain has long history although we cant find out all history. Some says that middle of the Rahangala mountain has cave. People cant enter that cave because it's very dangerous. There fore people fear to go there. Some says that the valuable swarm is situated inside the cave. We don't know what is real.
Rahangala mountain also very beautiful mountain of Sri Lanka.

18th Railway Tunnel of Pattipola
Sri Lanka General Railway is established by British Government and had worked both Sri Lankan and British engineers together. There are lot of secret points available along up country Railway of Sri Lanka. About 42 major railway tunnels available to Badulla from Colombo Fort. After Passing Nanuoya or Thalawakele the passenger of trains feels a special situation because the environment is like England. After Passing Pattipola Railway Station which is highest railway station of Sri Lanka, there is a special and important place to visit for foreign and local tourist.It's called 18th Railway tunnel from Colombo and darkest railway tunnel in Sri Lanka.
This tunnel is third longest (321.95m) of Sri lanka. The tunnel of Hatton(Singimale Tunnel - 559.75m)and the tunnel between Colombo - Kandy(Moragolla Tunnel -359.74m) road are first and second. Although this is third, inside is very darkest. Area of the tunnel is rural one and there are no any shelters close to tunnel. Only few quarters of CGR members are available at Pattipola side of the tunnel.
The tunnel is narrowed one and therefore middle point becomes very dark.The tunnel made in 1919 and had been repaired several times. The mountain which tunnel 18 is crossed isedntified as Nasdanda Mountains which is same as elephant view. Tunnel 19 and Tunnel 20 are also closed to this tunnel and tunnel 18 is small one. But Tunnel 19 is very long ane and also it is direct tunnel.
Main important and specialty of tunnel 18 is sides are strictly different. One and only place which meets in Sri Lanka with such behavior is tunnel 18. North side of the tunnel tunnel is directed to Uva Province, Badulla District and Welimada division. And Southern end of the tunnel is directed into Central province, Nuwaraeliya district and Pattipola division. And also Uva province and Welimada region subjugated to the dry zone and other end is subjugated to the wet zone of Sri Lanka. When moving this tunnel from one end to another movers feels something which cannot be feel from any place of the world.
What is IT:
Temperature difference between both ends are different, Climate of both ends are different, Soil - environment - wind - rain are also different. Any one can feels zone different during minimum of time at Tunnel 18.
Natural and Little Eucalyptus park also available in there. Ma rath mal (scientific meaning - Rhododendron arboretum) is very beautiful flower which is endemic to Sri Lanka and plant grows in higher than 5000 feet above sea level are also available.

Streepura Golden Tunnel complex of Sri LankaSthree pura is a very ancient place of Uwa paranagama of Sri Lanka. Sthrree Pura is a mountain at closed to Ladduma, Kirawanagama, Idama Gama, Mudanawa of Uva Paranagama. In top of the mountain there are tunnel complex inside it. This tunnel complex may be made by king Walagamba at ancient time. In ancient time King Walagamba was hide in several places of up country Sri Lanka.
Villagers said that some of tunnels along to Mana waterfalls at Lunuwattha. There are several stone bathing buckets at Mana falls. Mana falls also consist legend stories.

Bambarakanda Waterfalls(highest) of Sri Lanka
Travel to this place is not easy than other waterfalls of Sri Lanka because this fall is far away from amin road. Kalupahana Junction (160Km from Colombo - Badulla road) is closest main road to Falls. Kalupahana is at Between Belihul Oya and Haputale. Belihul Oya also famous and beautiful place in Sri Lanka. The distance between Kalupahana snd the waterfall is about 5 kilometers. This 5 Km is wide way and Car, Van or lite vehicle can be travel. The way to Bambarakanda from Kalupahana is not finished at Waterfall. It moves till Ohiya and Horton Plains via Udaveriya tea Estate. About 18Km to Ohiya from Bambarakanda waterfalls.
There are few accommodation facilities available in closed to Bambarakanda Waterfalls.Bambarakanda Holiday Resort which is located overlooking the Bambarakanda Waterfall is one and only holiday resort at closed to waterfalls. Five starts and high conditional hotels and residential places are available at Belihul Oya which is closed to Bambarakanda (10Km)
To travel to Bambarakanda falls from Ohiya is not easy. Because that the narrowed way is damaged. But the scenarios can be visit in that place is wonderful. Four wheel vehicle is suitable for that jounney.
There are some waterfalls closed to Bambarakanda falls. Those are Bambarakanda Ella, Lanka Ella , Uduwara Ella and Nagadowa Ella. Several mini waterfalls also available. It's also beautiful but not higher than Bambarakanda and not famous.

Up country of Sri Lanka is Paradise of Mountains. Piduruthalagala is highest mountain of Sri Lanka and about 2524m high above from sea level. Piduruthalaga is at closed to Nuwaraeliya town. Nuwaraeliya is highest main town and highest district of Sri Lanka. Nuwaraeliya is high about 2200m from Sea level.
Shanthipura is highest village of Sri Lanka. Shanthipura is at 3Km away from Nuwaraeliya. Kirigalpottha and Totupola mountains are second and third of Sri Lanka. Both of them are surrounded at Horton Plains. Adam’s Peak is heritage and environmental recourse of Sri Lanka and closed to Hatton Maskeliya area. Greate Western Mountain is at Nanuoya area and very beautiful peak of Sri Lanka. Namunukula, Piduruthalagala and Samanala mountain complexes are main mountains of Sri Lanka. Namunukula Mountain is at Badulla area. Ella, Belihuloya, Dayagama, Agarapathana, Kothmale, Ududumbara, Knuckles are main upcountry Mountains of Sri lanka. Hakgala Mountain, Ritigala and Girithale Mountain consists high variety and high forest area. Therefore without any proper permission from wildlife department of Sri Lanka any one cannot be entrance them.
